The Client

HTC Global Services is a global provider of Information Technology and Business Process Services (BPS). Their client base spans several Global 2000 organizations in Australia and globally.

 They are now seeking to employ a qualified and experienced Engineering Technologist to join the team in Melbourne.

The Role

This is a full time role with an annual salary of $55000 plus superannuation.

The Responsibilities

  • Coordinate and plans for ongoing and future engineering projects
  • Applying knowledge of physics and engineering to solve complex problems
  • Cooperating with engineers from related fields to carry out interdisciplinary work
  • Designing blueprints and plans for ongoing and future engineering projects
  • Performing engineering work associated with each engineers particular area
  • Supervising the work of other engineers in relevant areas and coordinating with engineers from related fields to carryout interdisciplinary work
  • Attend key PMT engineers meetings to work effectively with functional/integration engineering teams to resolve issue
  • Recommend corrective or preventive actions to assure or improve product quality or reliability
  • Recommend technical design or process changes to improve efficiency, quality, or performance
  • Identify and implement new manufacturing technologies, processes, or equipment.
  • Identify opportunities for improvements in quality, cost, or efficiency of automation equipment
  • Monitor or measure manufacturing processes to identify ways to reduce losses, decrease time requirements, or improve quality
  • Identify critical information concerning part delivery risks for manufacturing build.
  • Pursue supplier responses in the form of Promise Dates and/or Red Borders
  • Develop and foster strong working relationships with clients keeping them informed of progress, anticipated delays and/or variances
  • Providing expertise and input to the Engineering and Technical team to analyse
  • Attend program meetings (PST, Prototype PAT, PMT, Suspense, PTR/Red Border, and Shortage) for awareness and to help facilitate issues resolution.
  • Prioritizing customer orders under the supervision of the prototype logistics manager.
  • Interacting with various manufacturing departments to program accordingly that reduces process time delay
  • Ensure compliance to Quality Policy and Quality processes are strictly implemented

The Requirements

  • At least 2 years of experience in a relevant engineering field
  • At least a Bachelor degree in Engineering
  • Added advantage candidate have master’s degree (Engineering management/logistics/procurement).
  • Experience in prototype build programs/new model program.
  • Experience in Automobile industry have added advantage.
  • Experience to perform the aforementioned duties
  • Able to work independently and within a small team setting under pressure
  • Strong communication and organisational skills
  • Possess critical and analytical thinking skills
