Due to continued growth we now have the opportunity for an experienced Project Engineer QA/QC to join our Projects Department.

Reporting to the Senior Operations Manager this position is offered on a maximum term contract will be see your time split between our Perth Head Office and site.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Responsible for detailing and documenting information regarding all the phases of projects
  • Plan all materials for construction ensuring optimal utilisation of all resources
  • Administer vendor supplies and ensure compliance to all timeframe for all fabricated products
  • Identify, investigate, record, monitor and report on actions, resolution, and costs of identified vendor NCRs
  • Prepare and review ITPs, FICs and other quality documentation
  • Interpret standard specifications and typical/standard drawings to reflect current industry standards
  • Assist with preparation of details work-packs
  • Provide weekly & monthly production data and quality statistics for reports
  • Ensure that contract works 'packages' are engineered in accordance with standards set by both client and the company
  • Ensure that all variations to scope and or specifications are approved and documented
  • Assist with the set up and maintain orderly project directory files and ensure that schedules, drawings, and correspondence are recorded, stored and distributed in accordance with approved procedures
  • Assist Project Manager and execute other administrative tasks as required and directed
  • Apply due care of the environment, health and safety of yourself and others

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Degree in an appropriate engineering discipline or significant quality management experience
  • Comprehensive understanding of fabrication, engineering construction
  • Extensive experience of structural, mechanical and piping construction and an awareness of Electrical works particularly with respect to documentation
  • Shutdown experience
  • Ability to communicate efficiently as part of an integrated project team, involving stakeholders at all levels
  • Sound working knowledge of Microsoft Office suite, Microsoft Project and/or Primavera 6
  • Ability to deliver high quality work under strict deadlines
  • Experience working in a heavy manufacturing/construction environment with heavy lifting/handling requirements
  • Full Australian work rights and be a resident of Perth
  • A valid West Australian C class drivers' licence or national equivalent
  • Be able to successfully complete ongoing Alcohol & Other Drugs Screens
  • Be available to spent periods of time away from home

This role requires you to be able to provide a National Police Clearance prior to commencement of employment.
