Take this opportunity to Join an established SME business which is an Adelaide success story on a global scale. Through innovative research and development engineering with a 40 year history, they have carved a niche in the global mining industry, providing product to the market from supply only to full turnkey EPC contracts. An excellent opportunity exists for a full time, permanent Project/Construction Manager which incorporates design skills, project management and supervisory of heavy equipment onto client sites around the world.
Reporting into the General Manager, you will be responsible for the coordination and management of the execution of projects to ensure the delivery of contractual obligations and the contribution to profitability of each project.
Key Elements Of The Role
- Successfully manage installation projects both internationally and within Australia
- Work from both Adelaide and occasionally from client mine sites around the role to supervisor and oversee fairly non-technical products
- Hands on CAD design to integrate product designs with client equipment (structural/mechanical)
- MS Project Scheduling
- Manage all costs associated with installations
- Basic procurement of peripheral materials such as cables etc
- Liaise with on-site sub-contractors engaged to completed the projects
- Basic reporting and PM plans monthly
- Qualification in structural or mechanical engineering
- Design experience with any CAD program (Solidworks or Microstation being most beneficial)
- Either proven project management or construction supervisor/management experience
- Previous experience where you have had a high degree of autonomy in your role
- Computer literacy (MSOffice)
- Excellent communication skills (verbal, written and presentation)
- Have the ability to build relationships and rapport with all levels of staff and clients
- Willingness to travel globally fort short periods (with plenty of lead time)
- A valid passport and driver's licence
