About the role:
Maxima has been engaged to recruit candidates with previous experience for the role of ‘Civil Leading Hand’. Looking at an ASAP start, with work based on the Gold Coast, you will commence as a casual with the view of permanency after a probation period.

The role will see you working up to 6 days per week with 10-12 hour days a regular.

To be successful you must have several plant tickets and the ability to operate.

Duties & focus:

• Stormwater and Drainage
• Pavements
• Roadworks
• Bulk earthworks
• Final trim
• Grade Checking
• Confident operating plant
• Concreting
• Leading a team of 5+ employees including sub-contractors, labour hire and perm staff

Applicants must have:

• Previous Leading Hand experience for a civil company
• Plant tickets with experience operating inc. Excavator, Dozer, Grader, Skid Steer, truck license, roller. Additional tickets highly regarded
• White Card
• TopCon GPS experience
• Exceptional Final Trim experience
• Be confident using phone apps for end of week “paperwork”
• Strong leadership skills
• Good phone skills
• Able to lead by example
• Able to think ahead and organise a team
• Able to pass a pre-employment medical
• Available to work long days, 6 days per week
• Must have a good attitude
