Job Description

H F Tiling Services Pty Ltd are currently seeking to fill a fully qualified and competent tiler.

Must have minimum 3 years experience.

This position will be full time (maybe some Saturdays) and you will be responsible for all duties and responsibilities entailed of a wall and floor tiler, including but not limited to;

Must hold a relevant qualification

Examine plans and prepare work and materials for work sites

Clean and level surfaces for tiling

Prepare and apply adhesives or mix cement

Lay tile and cut to fit space and corners using appropriate equipment

Grout and remove excess grout between tiles

Remove and fix tiles cleanly and accurately

Apply waterproofing for wall and floor tiling

Ensure correct alignment and spacing for aesthetic finish

Adhere to health and safety regulations

Ensure completion of projects on time and meet deadlines

Uphold values of the company and always aim for excellence

Arrange tiles according to design plans

Be able to lay all tiles of tiles (ceramic, porcelain, terrazzo, kerlite, stone, cement, marble, mosaic)

may lay coloured tiles in patterns to create mosaics

Apply Sealants and silicone

Follow appropriate safety practices when using ladders, other access ways, handrails, barriers, scaffolding and mechanical lifts (trained/licensed users only)

Follow established policies and procedures for Protective Personal Apparel (PPE) use and the use or non-use of devices such as mobile phone in workplace and training environments

Communicate and interact with others in workplace and trade school environments, may include customer interaction

Read and interpret various types of construction/architectural diagrams

Follow appropriate manual handling techniques for manual tasks including lifting and moving items

Follow safety and environmental practices for handling building products, fluids and waste products

Complete appropriate documentation and recording information on computerised programs

Use hand tools, e.g. tile-cutting tools, measuring tapes and levelling devices etc.

Use power tools, e.g. electric/battery drills, tile-cutters and laser levelling devices

Applicants must;

A willingness to develop skills and knowledge in this trade

Physical fitness and the ability to undertake manual labour for extended periods

Be a safe confident worker

Reliable, honest and hard working

Have a White Card

Have a drivers licence and a car

Willingness to travel to SA country side and Alice Spring NT

Enjoy practical and manual work

Ability to follow instructions and communicate effectively
