JOB DESCRIPTION
Systems Connect (an unincorporated Joint Venture between CPB Contractors and UGL Engineering) is delivering the Line-wide Works (LW Works) package of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest (SMCSW) project, which will extend Sydney Metro Northwest to the CBD and beyond to Bankstown. SMCSW is being delivered through a suite of contracts for the tunnels, stations, line-wide infrastructure and systems.
One of the key packages of work includes the fit out of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest tunnels and stations including provision of track, overhead wiring, HV reticulation, tunnel ventilation, fire services tunnel services.
We are seeking Expressions of Interest for Site Engineers to support the Civil/Track installation work. The Site Engineer is responsible for ensuring the technical matters associated with Project works are compliant with technical specifications, applicable legislation, approvals standards and Project SQE Risk Management processes.
About the Role
The Site Engineer’s main responsibilities will include:
- Liaise with the Project Engineer to ensure job is on schedule on Site.
- Provides a focal point for all technical based queries for associated sub-contractors.
- Attends meeting with client on all disciplines of the work.
- Liaise with design team as required.
- Ensures that the quality requirements are adhered to and that company procedures are followed.
About You

- Experience in large Rail or tunnel projects, knowledge in track installation would be beneficial.
- Relevant civil engineering qualification and a minimum of 2 years’ experience in construction environment.
- Ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team
- Experience in procurement to ensure deliveries meet construction schedule requirements.
- Ability to implement safe work systems & environmental controls.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
