JOB DESCRIPTION
Systems Connect (an unincorporated Joint Venture between CPB Contractors and UGL Engineering) is delivering the Line-wide Works (LW Works) package of the Sydney Metro City & Southwest (SMCSW) project, which will extend Sydney Metro Northwest to the CBD and beyond to Bankstown. SMCSW is being delivered through a suite of contracts for the tunnels, stations, line-wide infrastructure and systems.
We have positions available for Project Engineers to support the building finishes / structures work within the Northern section of the project (Chatswood) and Southern section of the project (Marrickville). You will be responsible for managing the effective coordination of design, procurement and construction for various building finishes / fit out and structures packages to ensure safety, time, cost and environmental objectives are achieved. We are interested in your previous project delivery experience on large-scale building projects.
About the Role
The Project Engineer’s main responsibilities will include:
- Lead a team of Construction Engineers to deliver the building/structures packages
- Control all Engineering activities and processes on projects
- Ensure quality, cost, safety, performance and that time schedules are met
- Interface with procurement, construction, commercial, quality, and expedite logistic functions to ensure the project schedule is adhered to.
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders
About You

- Relevant tertiary qualifications in Construction, Engineering, or other relevant discipline.
- Previous experience in managing subcontract packages on large scale building projects.
- Proven commercial acumen
- Ability to collaborate as part of a supportive high-performing team
- Experience in procurement to ensure deliveries meet construction schedule requirements.
- Ability to implement safe work systems & environmental controls.
- Excellent communication skills with strong attention to detail
