Due to the ongoing success of our Australian Bridges and Structures team we have a need for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Perth team.

Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

  • Bridge Design and Planning
  • Assisting in the preparation of specifications, proposals, and other documentation under supervision.
  • Ability to utilise a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques in problem solving.
  • Develop appropriate time management skills and flexibility to allow for the management of a varying workload.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the WSP business.
  • Participate in initiatives that lead to improved client feedback, satisfaction and exceed client expectations.
  • Lead and mentor junior engineers
  • Apply industry standards and guidelines.
  • Apply relevant State and Federal legislation as it pertains to transport.
Main Requirements
  • Degree qualified or equivalent Structural Engineering.
  • Working towards being a Chartered Engineer
  • Working knowledge of Bridge design and planning
  • Experience in the design of prestressed and reinforced concrete bridges for road and rail is a plus.
  • Experience in Bridges / Structural projects in the Civil, infrastructure sector.
  • Experience in the use of bridge design software such as Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, Midas or similar preferred.
  • Experience in the use of Strand7 is desirable
  • The ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
