The opportunity

We have an opportunity for a Manager, Linewide Systems Leadto join Australia’s most prominent public transport infrastructure program, reshaping transport solutions and making a genuine difference for the people of NSW. The role will see you providing strategic design leadership and expert domain knowledge to the Sydney Metro team, whilst also developing and maintaining strong relationships with private sector partners.

About You

You will ensure that design solutions are of high quality, meet business requirements within scope, quality, safety assurance, time and cost constraints, as well as regulatory and accreditation requirements. You will strive for integrated product outcomes and continuous improvement through close collaboration with private sector partners and a focus on outcome, informed, constructive and balanced application of the contract requirements. To be successful in the role you will have experience in the following:

  • Experience in detailed design and understanding of the construction process for major rail projects, ideally metro
  • Working alongside or managing a multi-disciplinary design team (client and contractor) team in the production of design work, including track, OHW, track, signalling, tunnel ventilation, communications and power supply
  • Chartered Engineer with 10+ years of experience in civil and rail design
  • Experience working in a senior leadership role within a dynamic project delivery environment, and delivering to tight deadlines including design, procurement and construction, commissioning
  • Leadership skills with the ability to mentor and develop a diverse pool of engineers
  • Digital Engineering awareness
  • Assurance regime awareness


Salary And Benefits

The salary for this position is Grade 9 ($129,349 – $152,204) per annum plus superannuation and leave loading.
