Duratec is a multi-disciplined builder and maintenance contractor with over 15 branches across Australia servicing the Defence, Mining, Oil and Gas, Industrial, Marine industries along with Government assets and Commercial Infrastructure including heritage buildings.

THE ROLE

Our Darwin Operations team are currently seeking Expressions of Interest from competent Blast and Painters and Construction Supervisors for local Darwin Remediation Projects to work on an ongoing casual basis commencing in March 2021.

Blast & Paint candidates should demonstrate experience in the following fields:

• Abrasive blasting operation
• Industrial Spray Painting
• Protective coating application
• Work to a high standard to maintain productivity
• Ability to work within a cohesive team
• A willing and pro-active attitude towards safety

Construction Supervisor candidates should demonstrate the following fields:

• Ability to organise work packs and distribute to the work team
• Ability to manage subcontractors project works
• Experience and knowledge to run crews of multiple trades and sub-contractors
• Ability to schedule works and equipment
• Experience running morning pre-starts and weekly toolbox meetings
• Good understanding of current workplace safety legislation and requirements
• Can work cohesively within the site management team

ABOUT YOU

To be successfully considered for this role, you will have:

• Minimum 2+ years' experience in a similar field
• Ability to pass all pre-employment medicals and D&A requirements
• Prepared to work weekends and shift work as required
• Prepared to follow and adhere to all company/site HSE requirements and procedures
• Current Construction White Card
• Current Working at Heights ticket - Advantageous
• Current Confined Space Entry ticket - Advantageous
• Elevated Work Platform ticket - Advantageous
