The Role
Programmed Industrial Maintenance is currently seeking applications for a Reliability Engineer to join our team to support current contracts and for upcoming new opportunities across the VIC, TAS and SA business.

Reporting directly to the Operations Manager, the suitable candidate will demonstrate the ability to manage, lead and coach a diverse group of skilled electrical and mechanical trades for our contract maintenance, turnarounds and outage as well as project works. This role will provide support to our clients and employees through maintenance improvement and optimisation initiatives and support projects where there are components related to maintenance, reliability and equipment or asset life cycle.

Successful applicants will have proven reliability engineering experience in the FMCG (predominantly in Food & Beverage) light and heavy manufacturing industries, display a strong work ethic and a demonstrated commitment to safety.

The successful candidate will demonstrate an enthusiastic approach to pre-start meetings, toolbox talks and initiate safety conversations. You will also be responsible for assuring all delegated assignments are completed within the specified timeframe and recorded in accordance with site specific processes.

Skills, Experience and Attributes
The ideal candidate will possess the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Engineering (Mechanical and/or Reliability Engineering Highly Regarded)
  • Minimum 3 years proven experience 
  • Previous experience managing, implementing and facilitating Asset Management and Reliability Methodology programs in an operational maintenance environment, such as, but not limited to RCM, FMECA and RCA
  • Exposure to projects and working on project sites will be advantageous
  • Ability to provide technical, maintenance and process support and training
  • Strong time management and flexible approach to multitasking, with sometimes conflicting priorities in a dynamic working environment
  • Self-sufficient and able to take the initiative where required
  • Intermediate to advanced MS Office skills (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, Access)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
