Wood is currently recruiting for a Senior Integrated Control and Safety System (ICSS) Engineer to join our team in Perth Western Australia.

Wood “Operations” delivers brownfields engineering, procurement, construction, optimisation and technical services to the Oil & Gas industry. Wood enjoys long-term partnerships with some of the region’s most prominent Oil & Gas and LNG producers operating in Western Australia and the Northern Territory.

As a Senior ICSS Engineer you will be reporting directly to the Regional Lead Instrument Engineer providing site operations support to client offshore facilities.

Taking the lead on some of the world’s most technically challenging brownfields Oil & Gas projects for the Instrument Engineering group, you will join likeminded, agile industry peers who are highly qualified and recognised industry innovators to create new possibilities...


Ideally you have 10 years of relevant experience in the Offshore / Onshore LNG industry, within the O&G brownfields engineering EPCM sector in Australia. You will be suitably qualified in Engineering from recognised institution and be a Certified Functional Safety Engineer.

What will set you apart will be your proven Instrument experience with relevant knowledge of both Yokogawa and HIMA control systems and be prepared to undertake site visits (onshore / offshore).

In addition, you will have:

  • A thorough understanding in networks, severs, HMI
  • Experience with Allen and Bradley Control Systems
  • Experience with a wide range of marine systems on FPSO
  • Experience with Field Instrument, actuated valves and Fire and Gas
  • Experience with analysers and Flow measurements
  • Extensive design and knowledge of applicable codes and standards (both international and Australian)
  • Excellent analytical, literacy and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication skills with proven experience in client facing roles

You must have full Australian work rights and currently reside in Western Australia or Northern Territory to be considered for this role.
