About the Role

We are currently seeking a motivated, enthusiastic and reliable Cleaning Site Supervisor to join our team on a permanent part-time basis for approximately 30 hours per week. This exciting role will be based at Adelaide's largest multipurpose venue and will provide regular evening shifts which may be worked across any night of the week, this will depend on the event calendar. The role will include a combination of office and event cleaning, supervising staff in a dynamic and fast-paced environment and operation of machinery. If you are a go-getter, with flexible availability in the evenings Monday - Sunday, enjoy working with machinery and don't mind getting your hands dirty, this is a fantastic fit for you!

Duties & Responsibilities 

  • Supervising event cleaning shifts with up to 10 cleaners
  • Ride-On Machine Sweeper and Scrubber operation
  • Forklift Operation
  • Liaise with Site Operations Coordinator on a regular basis regarding tasks and event planning
  • Lead by example to ensure staff are adhering to AGC’s policies and procedures
  • Training new staff on cleaning tasks
  • Completing cleaning inspection reports 
  • Maintain and control use of stock, equipment and consumables and report purchase requirements to Site Operations Coordinator
  • Actively promote Health & Safety and report any hazards/incidents
  • Ensure all cleaners wear appropriate PPE
  • Various cleaning tasks, including but not limited to:
    • Vacuuming / mopping floors
    • Cleaning & disinfecting of desks and hard surfaces
    • Cleaning of bathroom facilities
    • Emptying & moving bins
    • Picking up litter
    • Window cleaning
    • Periodical cleaning which may include; Carpet cleaning, high pressure washing, floor polishing, tile scrubbing and general machine operation.

 What we require from you?

  • Previous cleaning and supervisory experience
  • Able to pass and willing to obtain a DCSI & National Police Clearance
  • Forklift licence - desirable
  • Drivers License 
  • Experience using cleaning machinery (sweepers, scrubbers, carpet shampoo) is highly regarded
  • Excellent communication skills
  • High customer service skills with a friendly demeanour
  • High standard of work, cleanliness and attention to detail
  • Own reliable transport to get to and from work 
  • Able to pass a pre-employment medical
  • Able to work autonomously and use initiative
  • Have a smartphone to clock in and out of shifts
