An exciting opportunity has become available for a Graduate or Mechanical Engineer to join our Product Lifecycle Engineering team based in Bella Vista for 10 months fixed term contract.

The Graduate or Mechanical Engineer will operate within a project team and will be tasked with the responsibility to design, develop and verify new products from concept through to production in the most cost and time efficient manner whilst operating within ResMed Quality Standards.

We are open to applications from experienced or newly-graduate Mechanical Engineers.

Let’s talk about Responsibilities:

Design, develop, prototype and test mechanical systems with due consideration to requirements relating to marketing needs, the needs of our patients and customers, human factors / usability, patient therapy performance requirements, environmental factors and design for manufacturing and assembly.

Work within ResMed Quality System, standards and regulatory requirements, such as FDA, etc., and maintain training requirements.

Operate autonomously whilst interacting effectively with, and seeking input from team members and other cross-functional teams to ensure the products being developed are appropriate and satisfy all necessary requirements

Assess, and communicate effectively, the impact of issues with internal stakeholders.

Liaise with internal stakeholders and external suppliers in relation to design issues.

Let’s talk about Qualifications and Experience:

To get us really excited, you will have a Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering with 1-5 years’ of engineering experience preferably in a Product Development environment.

As a Graduate Engineer, we expect that you are curious, eager to learn, and seek to develop within the role.

As an experienced Engineer, we expect that you bring with you your expertise in Mechanical Engineering, incorporate new ideas into current practices and area of expertise, committed to providing high quality products, and willingness to mentor less experienced or junior engineers.
