An exciting opportunity is available in a long-established Installation of cable products and civil construction company, specialising in underground civil work and Installation on the Telstra, NBN and Power networks. Our core business focuses working on live and active networks to install and upgrade infrastructure. Experience in this field of work is preferred. Experience in Installation of services on FTTP HFC FTTC and HFC will assist and training will be provided the successful applicant in joining our team.

The applicant should have ability to work in a team responsible quick leaner and work rights.

Roles and responsibilities

  • Perform Installation of various kind of electrical panels and appliances
  • Inspect Identify and fix all faults on all electrical panels associated with installs and make sure all are compliant with specifications, regulations and safety requirements.
  • Perform preventive maintenance of the pack of the induction furnace
  • Perform maintenance and check-up of transformers
  • Perform breakdown maintenance of any electrical motor or panel
  • Running Fiber PIT to PIT
  • The installation of 20,50,100 mm conduit P2, P3, P5,P6 ,P8 PIT
  • Operation of Grandomat machine 45 65 & 75 mm
  • Operate all equipment and tools required to safely and efficiently fulfil all NBNCO core requirements; Grandomat, Service Locator, testing equipment, Traffic Management, Dial Before You Dig maps and All Accessories.
  • Perform the following tasks
    • Pillar Extension
    • Pillar Termination
    • Node Termination
    • Node Jumpering
    • Cut-over
  • Keep an inventory of spares by checking and ordering of electrical parts
  • Draw plans and drafts of Electrical Circuits and Installations for our company
  • Workshop assembling circuit breakers, relays and switchgears for safety purpose
  • Estimate and record electrical component/device costs, guarantees and quality.
  • Managing and training staff and sub-contractors working on our NBNCO projects
  • Be resourceful, maintain excellent analytical/problem-solving skills, be a quick learner,

committed and hard-working.

Certificates and Education

  • Cable Hauling
  • Must be degree or Equivalent in Electrical and Telecommunication Networking.
  • Construction Industry Card (White Card)
  • First Aid level 2 including CPR
  • Traffic Management Certificate
  • Open cable license (ACMA License)
  • Enable accredited
