ABOUT THE POSITION.

We are recruiting on behalf of this internationally recognised company for an Interior Designer and you will be based in their Sydney CBD office.

This is an exciting opportunity for the right person and your role will be to initiate, integrate and deliver interior designs to enhance the overall project in compliance with project Brief/s.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES.
  • Provides leading edge, inspiring, feasible, innovative interior design concepts and spaces fulfilling or exceeding agreed briefs
  • Participates in the development of the design vision and upholds the vision throughout the project
  • Participates in design development and documentation for risk mitigation, value engineering to gain alignment/approvals with business partners and authorities
  • Provides comprehensive, efficiently documented design presentation clearly communicated to stakeholders
  • Produces interior design packages for tender and construction as coordinated with the project D & C team
  • Provides input and advice/responses to RFIs during construction
  • Contributes to Safety in Design to ensure designs are safe to build, operate and maintain
  • Ensures that pre-development and project program milestones met
SKILLS & EXPERIENCE.
  • Hold a degree in Interior Design or Interior Architecture
  • AutoCAD proficiency
  • Capable of Documentation
  • InDesign and Photoshop skills
  • Demonstrate sound skills in overarching concept design to design development
  • Technical knowledge and ability to developing fit-out details and take the design through to documentation
  • Ability and confidence in dealing with suppliers
  • Familiar with Australian building regulations and standards
