Join our Perth HQ, one of WA’s only truly global Tech organisations. Work with the team in Australia and support our other satellite offices, including; Denver (US), Cambridge (UK), France, Sweden and Belgium to deliver the latest in transport technology and innovation.

We are looking for a budding Platform Engineer with experience in building and deploying software, and the ability to quickly learn new tools and technologies.This team drives and delivers core aspects of the Vix technical roadmap to improve the efficacy of delivery, remove pain points for developers and ensure the robustness of our software solutions.

What will your day look like?

  • Collaborating with product development teams to provide the tools and platforms to help optimise delivery and ensure that our products meet the performance, security and operational needs of our customers.
  • Focussing on continuous improvement of the core platforms underpinning our products and delivery approach.
  • Defining and analysing requirements as part of the agile planning process.
  • Designing and implementing peer-reviewed software following industry standard design principles.
  • Identifying and troubleshooting issues within the build system and assisting the Engineering teams with resolutions.

What can you bring to the team?

  • Bachelor degree in Computer Science, or similar, with an understanding of the fundamentals of the software build process.
  • Experience with scripting languages such as Python, Perl, Ruby or Shell.
  • Understanding of Java, C# or C++, HTML and VBScript viewed positively.
  • Knowledge of AWS services and familiarity with Linux and Windows systems administration.
  • Good analytical and practical problem-solving skills.
  • Proven ability to work in a methodical, self-driven and timely manner
