JOB DESCRIPTION

My client is Structural & Civil Engineering firm working across Residential & Commercial projects providing builders and insurers with insurance reports and SOW nationwide. A large amount of their work relates to existing buildings that have been damaged by fires, tree impacts and vehicle impacts.

About the role of Building Consultant:

  • Conducting site inspections, identifying, photographing and documenting building defects and other related on-site issues;
  • Compiling building defect, condition and technical reports;
  • Providing recommendations for general building repairs and preparing scope of works documentation to be issued out for Tenders;
  • Tender Management;
  • Contract Administration;
  • Project Management
To be considered for the role of Building Consultant, you will require:
  • A minimum 5yrs experience 
  • Engineering degree or qualified builder
  • Experience working in the Sydney construction/engineering market
  • Proven experience within Insurance and Strata reporting 
  • A strong understanding of local building codes
  • The ability to work well within a team environment and take lead responsibilities as required
