Moxon Industries is a ISO9001 Quality Endorsed Diverse Engineering Company that offers services such as Design, Toolmaking, General Machining, CNC Milling, CNC Turning, Sheetmetal, Fabrication etc. We are based in Moorebank, South West Sydney.

We are looking for a competent Production Engineer to assist our Manufacturing facility and work closely with the Research and Design Team, Production Manager and Production Team. You will be required to assist to resolve manufacturing issues/complications. You may also have to assist the Research and Design team with CAD modelling, provide feedback to the Design Team regarding the manufacturability of components, and assist in Product Manual development and checking.

You will need to have good communication skills as you will dealing with a wide range of people within the organisation. Your Time Management skills will need to be on point as will your Reliability and Commitment to the job.

You need to be a quick thinker and enjoy troubleshooting. Most of this can be resolved by working with our team of experts.

Key Accountabilities:

  • Interpreting technical and structural drawings and specifications
  • Solving problems and issues pertaining to projects
  • Consulting with company employees on issues of methods of operation
  • Studying of design and engineering drawings and specifications to determine costs of work, and developing cost plans as part of budgetary control measures
  • Support Manufacturing Operators with day to day tasks.
  • Train and develop Manufacturing Operators to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Manage manufacturing activities in our ERP system.
  • Perform day-to-day technical aspects ensuring uniformity of products and quality control.
  • Assist in the development of strategic improvements for Manufacturing including production layout.
  • Execute projects and define processes in areas of responsibility to optimize efficiency.
  • Management of production issues to ensure they have minimal impact on delivery schedule.
  • Contribute to the creation of Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s).
  • Perform simulations and checks production equipment
  • Development and maintenance of manufacturing documentation and ensure that an adequate level of technical understanding has been applied

The successful candidate must satisfy the following:

  • Master’s degree in Production Engineer
  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • Knowledge of how to machine and fabricate a job including how long each process should take
  • Able to read and interpret engineering drawings
  • Minimum 2 years experience on similar position
  • Experience in creating BOM’s
  • Able to use Microsoft Office, Advanced Excel and Project.
  • Knowledge of AutoCad and SolidWorks design software
  • Experience on working at Waterjet Machine and CNC Machine.
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Ability to work under pressure with calmness and composure
  • Strong problem-solving and trouble-shooting skills using operational and diagnostic procedures
  • Ability to carry out directions from team leader & collaborate with team member.
  • Strong organisational and influencing skills
