JOB DESCRIPTION
The Role
We have an exciting opportunity for entry level draftspersons with an interest in Civil Infrastructure Design to join our Melbourne Urban Engineering team.
With support and supervision from the wider team, duties in this role will include but not be limited to;
Development of basic skills on CAD and produce efficient and high standard drawings;
Using a variety of basic Drafting methods and techniques in solving design problems;
Assisting in the preparation of schematic and production drawings;
Assisting with documentation and vault data management processes;
Performing general office duties;
Assisting more senior Drafters with the analysis of tasks and problems;
Production of construction level documentation;
In this role, you can look forward to;
Being involved in large scale and complex Infrastructure Design projects
Working in a team to produce drawings and models
Learning the latest 2D Drafting, 3D Modelling and visualisation software
Developing your technical and personal skills through regular training and development sessions
About You
We’re looking for applicants with a genuine interest in pursuing a career in Civil and / or Structural Drafting. As such, suitable applicants will have/be:
Recent TAFE graduates with an Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or related diploma in civil or structural design;
Exposure to using the CAD software on professional or academic projects
Good work ethic and an eagerness to learn new skills
Good communication and time management skills
