The Client:

Our client is a Tier 1 global manufacturing company with offices around the world. They have a number of household brands under their umbrella and supply a wide range of building and hardware products for the domestic and commercial markets across Europe, the USA and APAC.

Boasting a dominant market share in Australia they are a very respected and organised corporation with a rich history and pedigree that arguably puts them at the top of the tree in their space.

They are looking to recruit a stand-out National Account Manager to head up their sales through the hardware distribution channel in Australia in both Trade and Retail categories.

The Role:

Your main function is to drive sales within your Accounts through new product launches, shelf space negotiation and new category/product innovation. You will be solely responsible for the account base and will hold a P&L responsibility giving you the flexibility to price, market and promote as you see fit.

Focussing on C-level relations at a senior level within the Independent Hardware Sector you will be liaising weekly with Buyers, Category Managers, Purchasing Managers, Merchandising teams and in-store relations.

You will also spend some time travelling and attending trade shows, events and manufacturing sites both in Australia and internationally.

The Applicants:

You will be an established sales professional and will have a good understanding of the major hardware retailers.

You will be a comfortable presenter, a natural rapport builder and you will be an established people manager. You will play the long game with your customers and understand the importance of established and committed relationships.

You will have a good knowledge of both sales and operations having exposure to the challenges facing a national sales role including, logistics, marketing, product development, FX etc. This is a great opportunity to move in to a rapidly expanding international business in a key role as part of the strategic leadership team.
