Concrete Structure company with multiple sites in Melbourne Metro and surrounding areas, looking for an experienced Concrete/Formwork Structural Foreman to join our forever growing team. Solid Foundation Concreting is a mid sized concreting company that services and meets the needs of owner-builders, investors and homeowners whose concreting needs sit in-between the large high end residential and commercial market. We are expertise in basements, factories, suspended slabs and commercial. We offer earthworks, formwork, steel fixing, and concrete placement. Working with Melbourne's best tier 2 builders and construction companies.

Full time Salary - $140k-$170k depending on experience

Role Responsibilities

• Deliver project on time, on budget
• Fluent understanding of engineering and steel reinforcement details
• Fluent reading of architectural and set out plans
• Lead toolbox and OHS meetings, have full OHS knowledge and practice
• Respond to document transmittals
• Document variations and respond to on-site issues
• Manage and supervision of all staff and subcontractors involved in the concrete installation process of your project. This requires knowing how to motivate others and being able to handle conflict among workers.
• Order materials with suppliers
• Determine construction methodology
• Generate clear and detailed site records
• Understanding all stages of managing a construction project, assigning staff, reviewing scope, understanding back-charges, planning project phases, signing off with customers.

Skills and Experience

• Must be able to work autonomously
• Strong formwork and concrete knowledge
• Local knowledge is a must
• Able to interpret all job documentation such as drawings, schedules, site instructions and shop drawings.
• Strong leadership skills
• Trade qualified - degree not necessary but preferred
• Must have knowledge and experience in building and pouring pier holes, stairs, suspended slabs & basements.
• Must have Analytical thinking - Analysing blueprint and ensuring a project meets all specifications requires critical thinking. When the project schedule goes off track, structure foreman must analyse how to rearrange activities or add resources to prevent delays
• Must have a proven track record in a structure foreman role, and we want to see proof of successfully ran projects.
• Being a hands on, and on the ground foreman is absolutely essential for this role.
• Must have an extensive knowledge of retention systems.
