Our client is a successful, multi-discipline company with a healthy record for winning complex and challenging projects across a variety of sectors. Coming into the new year, this client is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join their journey, maintaining an excellent reputation in the market for cost-effective, quality designs, professional service and innovation.

Your new role
As the newest addition to the team, you will get to work on a variety of complex projects, enjoying a variety of rotations and be encouraged to apply a safety-focused approach to mechanical challenges. You will be majorly
impacted by the team’s fantastic culture, whilst working with multiple disciplines to reach overall team objectives. You will be responsible for the engineering, design and documentation of all mechanical components relating to buildings projects including HVAC design and documentation. This will be an exciting chance to take lead on a variety of projects as well as managing, leading and mentoring junior engineers.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to possess the ability to read and interpret documents such as engineering drawings, safety rules and local legislation's and building codes. Within your role you will need to have good communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and extensive additional HVAC knowledge and understanding.

To be successful, you will ideally have;

  • Relevant qualification in Mechanical Engineering complimented by a minimum of 3 years post-graduate experience, preferably demonstrated in Canberra and/or surrounding regions.
  • Proven building services modelling experience is a key requirement.
  • A passion for handling a diverse range of mechanical based functions.
  • A ‘hands on’ approach to the design process.
  • Preparation of project design documentation.
