Network Automation Architect

Who you'll be working with:

What you'll be doing:

The Networks Automation Architect in the IP Network Engineering team is responsible for the strategy, design and co-development of key automation solutions for transport engineering functions. You will play a lead role in the transition to the future IP Network, by delivering to the overall IPNE digitalization strategy through embedding automation into engineering functions

Your Duties:

  • Accountable for the transformation program's solution strategy based on business requirements, eco system, IPNE digital strategy and industry developments
  • Co-lead architect in the design and development of automated solutions for planning, design, deployment, provisioning and operational engineering functions (end to end).
  • Responsible for the solution architecture, design and co-development of the end to end fully automated integrated transport network planning solution.

Your Skills:

  • Track record of successfully designing, developing and deploying software in test and production environments.
  • In-depth knowledge of software architecture and solutioning
  • Python programming skills
  • High-level knowledge in carrier-grade multiservice IP network architecture
  • Highly proficient devops experience and use of APIs and SDKs.
  • In-depth experience and knowledge in network specialized open-source software provisioning, configuration management, and application deployment tool such as Ansible (also Chef, Puppet etc)
  • High-level expertise in networking technologies such as Cisco/Juniper/Nokia
  • Strong understanding of fundamental changes to the software and technology business driven by DevOps and the move to cloud computing and APIs, and micro-services is critical.
  • A deep understanding of how to consume and design RESTful APIs
  • Database Experience; SQL, MySQL and/or Postgres
  • Knowledge of IP and Internet Protocols as required
