Contract for Alto CloudLab Jira Technical Architect / Specialist to simplify triage tasks, and enhance the status reporting of requests.

Our client a Federal Government Department charged with the responsibility of delivering government programs for veterans and members of defence forces is seeking an Alto CloudLab Jira Technical Architect / Specialist to work in the Data and Insights Branch that receives approximately 1200 requests annually, this role will be tasked with simplifying triage tasks, and enhancing the status reporting of requests. The ideal candidate will possess both Jira (mandatory) and business process improvement (desired) skills.

The Data & Insights (D&I) Branch comprises a motivated and professional team with a wide variety of qualifications and backgrounds. They specialise in providing data and data products to stakeholders in response to requests and utilise meaningful workflows and metrics using tools that benefit strategic business processes.

On a day-to-day basis the successful candidates will undertake a range of responsibilities that entail:

  • Review Jira workflows, schemes and structures and present findings for discussion and problem-solving.
  • Implement improved Jira configuration, development, and capability uplift, including server and compatibility considerations.
  • Work with branch and other key stakeholders to develop forms that streamline a range of stakeholder requests for data products and services.
  • Communicate complex information or specialised content clearly, accurately, and precisely for the stakeholder audience and specific business purpose.
  • Successful candidates will work collaboratively with a range of experts including capability and service teams, data analysts, and business areas to complete high-quality deliveries.
For this vacancy we are seeking:
  • A tertiary degree with a major in statistics, mathematics, finance, computer science, or a closely related discipline
  • Analytical and developer administrative skills in the Atlassian Jira workflow tool (COTS).
  • Capacity to focus on both current and emerging business needs.
  • Written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate system construct limitations and solutions into actionable capabilities for diverse audiences.
  • Ability to establish and maintain productive working relationships with internal and external key stakeholders.
  • Ability to balance competing priorities and achieve timely results.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment under limited supervision.

This position will be offered as hourly rate contract notionally until 30th June 2021 with two 6-month extension options. For this vacancy, you will need to be an Australian citizen, but no security clearance is required.
