About the project

The Customer Digital Experience (CDX) is an integrated project that focuses on advancing the technology of the South Metropolitan Health Service digital platform, facilitating anytime, anywhere and any device network and systems access. The CDX Project will harness multiple ICT digital enhancements. The benefits of CDX include Windows 10 and Office 365, Tap to Log on/Single Sign on, Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) and Mobile Device Management (MDM). This is an exciting project which is bringing the latest technology to the users.

About the role

As a Desktop Engineer you will be working within the ICT support team at Fiona Stanley Hospital 24x7. We need Desktop Engineers who will primarily focus on the installation, configuration and deployment of thick and thin clients running Windows 10 and Office 365 across the campus. We also need Desktop Engineers who will work within the End User Computing Service which is available on site and you will be responsible for providing 2nd and 3rd level support for all End User Computing equipment, including incidents and service requests, undertaking maintenance and administrative activities whilst providing a high-quality service for the benefit of the hospital.

To be successful in one of these roles you will have:
  • The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour.
  • Competent in Windows 10, Office 365, Profile Management, SCCM and VMware
  • Ability to manage all work orders through the Incident Management System
  • Provide initial technical triage and resolution at first contact if possible
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and the ability to interact at all levels
  • Previous experience in a technical customer service role
  • Excellent ability to prioritise competing demands and problem-solve.
  • Good written and verbal communication skills.
  • Flexible working hours, predominantly evenings and weekends
  • The ability to work in a flexible and demanding environment ensuring effective time management and organisational skills.
Desirable
  • Previous experience working within a Health environment
  • Certified in ITIL Foundation desirable
  • Experience working for a large contractor with the customer on site.
  • Certificate II/III in Health Administration
