We are proud to be in partnership with this privately owned, dynamic, Australian engineering company. They have more than 30 years collective experience in design, installation and engineering of process and packaging lines and installations across numerous industries.
About the Role
Due to continued growth they now have a great career opportunity for a Mechanical Project Engineer to carry out project engineering and coordination work as required at Clients Sites. This includes liaison with of the Site Team Members and coordination of Contractors to achieve the desired Project outcome. You will also be responsible for:
- Manage schedule, cost, quality, risk and scope of mechanical procurement packages and discipline deliverables
- Technical ownership of discipline deliverables for the scope, including ensuring compliance with all relevant legislation, codes, specifications and industry standards and designs
- Coordinate projects from start to finish. Define, track and report on time, cost and quality.
- Apply sound engineering principles, knowledge and judgement.
- Use a structured, logical approach to both project management and design, including the accurate filing of information.
- Develop strong, collaborative and productive relationships within the team, with clients and suppliers and throughout industry
- Mechanical Engineering degreed qualified
- Minimum of 5 years post graduate experience with project engineering and design experience
- Experience in the Food & Beverage Industry and FMCG Industries (Processing and Packaging), is highly desirable
- Experience using Autodesk Autocad, Inventor 3D and Factory Design Suite software and MS Office
- Strong knowledge of Mechanical Engineering, relevant for project engineering coordination and practice
- Experience with civil and structural project work would be favourably considered
- Exceptional communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills
- Excellent coordination and prioritisation skills with strong problem-solving ability
- Ability to work both autonomously or as part of the team is highly regarded
- $100,000 - $110,000 + super
