Salem Power Engineering is looking to appoint an experienced Electrical Engineering Draftsperson.

Within this role, you will work effectively to complete drafting assignments of Level 3 infrastructure electrical components and projects. Utilising AutoCAD and other asset related software-training provided.

Duties and responsibilities:

• Assisting Electrical Engineers and Engineering Technologists in design and layout of electrical installations and circuitry on Kiosk and Chamber substations, HV and LV switchgear, Lighting Design, asset relocation, overhead and under grounding design of existing Energy network’s existing and future assets.

• Inspecting designs and finished drawings for compliance with Energy Network standards

• Analyzing site data from GPS measured coordinates that are required for updating the Energy Network's GIS data

To be considered for this role you will need:

- TAFE Certificate qualifications in AutoCAD

- An electrical design background in transmission, substation or distribution projects

- Experience in Building services and NBN design would be an advantage

- Experience in Data Capture/GPS surveying preferable

- Proven proficiency with AutoCAD

- Working knowledge of Australian standards

- Experience designing within a utility would be ideal

- The ability to work as part of a small team
