City-Wide Building & Training Services (CWBTS) and Builders Academy Australia (BAA) provide the Australian building and construction industry with outstanding industry-trained building and construction trades people. Based on the principle of "builders training builders", CWBTS and BAA draw on their deep connections to Simonds Homes to ensure it provides the highest quality curriculum and training services to meet industry needs. In 2018 BAA was announced as the Victorian Small Training Provider of the Year at the Victorian Training Awards and CWBTS was a shortlisted finalist at the NSW Training Awards.
THE OPPORTUNITY
We are looking for Trainers and Assessors to deliver CWBTS Certificate III Carpentry on a contract basis with some regional travel required around the Bega, Batemans Bay and Ulladulla regions. Hours and days can be flexible, with up to 40 hours of work available between 7:30am to 5:00pm weekdays.
Some key accountabilities of this role include:
- Delivery and assessment of the CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry (in part or full)
- Consulting with key clients on their existing and future workforce training needs
- Review, validate, moderate, and continuously improve the training resources and assessments
- Local travel to client building sites
WHAT YOU WILL OFFER
Ideally, we are looking for someone who has:
- Recent Carpentry industry experience (at least 5 years, and current)
- CPC30211 Certificate III in Carpentry or equivalent qualifications or sufficient and current vocational competence that would allow for a Recognition of Prior Learning (RPL) process to be completed
- TAE40110 or TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment
- An ABN that reflects a Sole Trader status
- A valid driver’s licence
- Sound knowledge of operational requirements in relation to the standards for Registered Training Organisations (RTO)
- An interest in imparting their industry knowledge to those eager to learn and expand their Carpentry careers.
- Exceptional communication skills and a strong customer focus with capability to build rapport easily
- Demonstrated planning, organisational and time management skills
