Due to steady growth we are looking for an experienced site supervisor for our Darwin team to take up this exciting new opportunity to join SAGE Automation.

The role is for an A grade electrician who can work autonomously to achieve the successful installation and commissioning of projects. Technical Expertise involves the ability to use systems and successfully complete tasks within given budgets and timeframes. Your technical expertise will encompass continuously building knowledge, keeping up to date on the technical or procedural aspects of the role.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assume responsibility for completing project within budget.
  • Interpret electrical drawings including schematics, single line diagrams and cable schedules.
  • Develop cable schedules and hand mark-up drawings for updating.
  • Provide design input to the cable calculation and methods of installation.
  • Work autonomously to commission as installed SAGE electrical installation as per design.
  • Install ducting, conduits, cables and terminate control equipment autonomously.
  • Manage a small team of electricians when required contractors.
  • Work under limited supervision and guidance to complete assigned tasks and meet work schedules.
  • When appropriate order materials.
  • On the job timekeeping

Skills and Experience

  • Current A-Grade Electrical Licence - Essential.
  • Hazardous area Certificate - Preferred
  • Commitment to customer satisfaction.
  • Willing to travel to the regional offices in Katherine and Alice Springs as required.
  • Good communication - both verbal and written and negotiation skills.
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work independently without supervision.
  • The ability to work under pressure.
  • A strong commitment to safety and a safe working environment.
  • National Police Clearance required.
  • Applicants must have the right to work in Australia.
