Your Opportunity

We are interested in hearing from Civil Engineers, Estimators or Quantity Surveyors with Cost Planning experience ranging from 5 to 10 years.

The role will be based in our Melbourne CBD office, with the expectation of regional travel 2-3 times a month for the first 6 months.

Typical skills and responsibilities

  • Assist in the preparation of tender and contract documents
  • Creation and analysis of revenue, cost and profit margin plans as well as cash flow statements
  • Manage process to ensure daily costs fully understood
  • Assisting in preparing and analysing of variations and reviewing all incoming correspondence to identify contractually critical items
  • Undertake cost planning, cost analysis, site measurements for progress payments and variations which occur on site
  • Report on job progress and cost control to the Commercial Manager
  • Prepare progress claims to clients for payments of work done
  • Check and prepare for authorisation, payments to subcontractors and major suppliers
  • Perform take-offs from drawings and compare with earlier versions


Tertiary or Trade Qualifications in Construction, Engineering, Quantity Surveying and/or Project/Construction Management


  • Experience with a Tier1 or Tier2 contractor on large projects
  • Broad multi-disciplinary background, preferably in D&C contracts
  • Preference for Civil experience
  • Sound financial planning skills.
