JOB DESCRIPTION

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Electrical Engineer to play a key role in our Power Group in Melbourne as we further establish an industry leading position. We’re seeking a committed power industry professional, who is passionate about creating exceptional engineering solutions and generating client value.

Responsiblities

Working with the Technical Director - Power, you will be part of a dynamic team responsible for the investigations, concept and detailed design of HV electrical substations, renewables projects, industrial & commercial power applications and associated systems and will see you involved in

⦁ Major activities which will include conceptual & detailed design, and project implementation of electrical systems up to 500 kV for power utility companies throughout Australia
⦁ High voltage power distribution systems and substation design
⦁ Electrical equipment solution/specifications including technical assessment
⦁ Preparation of electrical engineering drawings, calculations and reports
⦁ Concept and detailed design of electrical systems within multidisciplinary projects.

What would you bring to the team?

⦁ A tertiary qualification in Engineering, demonstrating a major in Electrical and an Australian Department of Defence Clearance (or ability to obtain)
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work as part of a team and engage with key internal and external stakeholders
⦁ Ideally you have between 2-5 years’ experience with design, construction, commissioning of electrical and control systems
⦁ Experience in renewable energy is ideal, experience in overhead line design, rail electrification or earthing is highly advantageous
⦁ Proactive in undertaking assigned tasks and skilled in the preparation of specifications and reports
