D&E Air Conditioning are one of Australia's leading Air Conditioning and Mechanical Services organisations with offices in Adelaide, Brisbane, Melbourne, Geelong, Perth and Sydney. We have around 500 staff nationally, and that includes in-house Engineering, Drafting, Project Management, Installation, Commissioning and Service teams.

About The Position

This position has become available due to promotion within the organisation. You will report to the WA Regional Manager and working alongside our incumbent Senior Estimator. You will be pricing both small works and major projects. The values may range from $3k to 30M and will be both D&C and fully documented projects. The work is diverse and our current projects include high-rise residential & commercial, major healthcare, industrial and CBD fit-out works.

You Will Be Responsible For

  • Technical & commercial review of bid documents
  • Take-offs of pipework ductwork & equipment.
  • Scheduling of plant & equipment
  • Technical appraisals of supplier & subcontractor quotes.
  • Accurate generation of cost sheets.
  • Preparation & submission of bids and supporting documentation.
  • Client liaison & follow up through to contract award.
  • Handover of projects to the project team
  • Ongoing support of the project team with variation preparation and the like.
  • Developing, growing and maintaining excellent relationships with suppliers, subcontractors, consultants, clients, and colleagues.

About You

Ideally You Will
  • Have tertiary qualifications in Mechanical Engineering or trade background with relevant associated industry experience.
  • Have an in-depth technical understanding of HVAC systems and components.
  • Possess excellent communication skills.
  • Be proficient with Microsoft office suite products.
  • Be highly motivated & well presented.
  • Be an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident.
