We are currently looking for a Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team based in Brisbane to support recent business growth. Current projects include copper, gold, coal and lithium plant design, construction, commissioning and optimisation. The successful candidates will have the right client and team focus, as well as a commitment to and enthusiasm for continuous improvement.
2021 looks like it will be a very busy and exciting year for Ausenco. As a result, we have this exciting opportunity.
About The Role
- Contribute to the delivery of multi-disciplinary engineering designs and feasibility studies.
- Prepare technical reports related to specific design issues.
- Deliver best practice technical solutions in accordance with project scope, timeframes and standards.
- Prepare plans, designs, calculations and cost estimates for conventional engineering., research and development assignments.
- Familiar with standard discipline deliverables and work process on projects.
- Demonstrate initiative and basic leadership skills to give direction within a small work group.
- Deliver superior quality designs and deliverables that meet the technical schedule and budget requirements.
- Develop networks and relationships within teams, across the organisation and with clients.
- Assist with the preparation of proposals and tenders (such as estimating design hours).
- Monitor and remain within assigned and alert supervisor if the budget estimate will be exceeded.
- Degree qualification in Mechanical Engineering.
- 3 – 5 years’ post grad experience.
- Strong experience in engineering consulting (Minerals Processing) and EPC/EPCM projects in the mining and resources sectors.
- Design experience using S3D, HELIX, Rocky, Autopipe, PSFF, Hammer etc. highly regarded.
- Project and / or site experience highly regarded.
- Sound understanding of current codes and standards including Australian and ASME.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Strong problem solving abd organisation skills and ability to meet tight deadlines.
- RPEQ or willing to work towards accreditation.
- Willingness to travel highly desirable.
