JOB DESCRIPTION

Due to the ongoing success of our Australian Bridges and Structures team we have a need for a Senior Bridge Engineer to join our Perth team. 

Main Activities and Responsibilities: (including but not limited to)

· Bridge Design and Planning

· Assisting in the preparation of specifications, proposals, and other documentation under supervision.

· Ability to utilise a variety of standard engineering methods and techniques in problem solving.

· Develop appropriate time management skills and flexibility to allow for the management of a varying workload.

· Work collaboratively with colleagues from all parts of the WSP business.

· Participate in initiatives that lead to improved client feedback, satisfaction and exceed client expectations.

· Lead and mentor junior engineers

· Apply industry standards and guidelines.

· Apply relevant State and Federal legislation as it pertains to transport.

Main Requirements

· Degree qualified or equivalent Structural Engineering.

· Working towards being a Chartered Engineer

· Working knowledge of Bridge design and planning

· Experience in the design of prestressed and reinforced concrete bridges for road and rail is a plus.

· Experience in Bridges / Structural projects in the Civil, infrastructure sector.

· Experience in the use of bridge design software such as Autodesk Structural Bridge Design, Midas or similar preferred.

· Experience in the use of Strand7 is desirable

· The ability to lead and mentor junior engineers
