About the role

Woods Bagot are seeking an Architect with experience leading multi-residential projects, to join our busy Melbourne team.

We work on a broad range of high-quality residential projects and are looking for someone who is ready to grow into a leadership role within the studio. Client and Consultant liaison will be key, as will leadership of team and project across all aspects of residential Architecture.

Experience in high end residential, social housing and hospitality will be highly regarded.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preparation of feasibility and concept studies and contribution to the presentation and pitch for projects, competitions, and Clients.
  • Experience in creating compelling schematic design/planning submission packages.
  • Effectively and independently liaise with consultants to resolve design issues and facilitate co-ordination through design development and documentation.
  • Create and manage construction documentation (drawings, schedules and specifications) of the project.
  • Delivery of projects liaising with contractor through the construction services phase

About you

As the successful candidate you will have past experience working with a collaborative, creative and resourceful team. You have specialised experience in the design and construction of architectural projects.

You will be able to demonstrate:

  • 10+ years experience (or equivalent) working in the Architecture field
  • A talent for design and hands-on experience across all phases of the project life.
  • An ability to communicate well and build strong relationships with Clients and industry colleagues.
  • The ability to lead and grow less experienced team members.
  • Capable of taking initiative and leading the collaborative resolution of design, design development and construction issues.
  • Knowledge of BCA and regulations (including BADs) essential.
  • Strong Revit, Rhino, Enscape and Adobe Suite competence.
