In partnership with Directions, our client based both North and South of the river, is looking to place a highly motivated and committed candidate into a Certificate III in Wall and Floor Tiling. Our client is a provider of quality commercial installation of floor and wall tiles and stone in Western Australia, specialising in Commercial Tiling and Stone Tiling.

About the role

The role will assist tradesmen in all aspects relating to tiling solutions both internally and externally.

You will learn but not be limited to: Laying of wall and floor tiles (Ceramic, Porcelain, Glass Mosaics and Stone Installation), Waterproofing, Restoration work, Stone cladding, Acoustic underlay systems, Sealing treatments, as well as the undertaking of grouting, cutting and mixing.

Essential:

  • Minimum Year 10 completion;
  • Well-developed verbal communication skills;
  • Sound judgement and problem solving skills;
  • Proven time management skills, with the ability to work under pressure, and be well organised;
  • High level of accuracy skills and attention to detail;
  • Completed a Certificate II pre-apprenticeship or currently working as a 1st year junior apprentice;
  • Hold a current WA drivers licence and have own transport
  • White Card
Desirable:
  • Pre-apprenticeship in wall and tiling or relevant construction industry experience
Candidates must be available through-out the recruitment process which will include:
  • Aptitude testing
  • Two rounds of interviews
  • Passing a pre-employment screening questionnaire which includes drug and alcohol testing.
