JOB DESCRIPTION

CBGU JV brings together partners CPB Contractors, BAM, Ghella and UGL to deliver the Tunnels and Stations package for Brisbane’s Cross River Rail. Cross River Rail is a 10.2 kilometre rail line between Dutton Park and Bowen Hills, including 5.9 kilometres of tunnel under the Brisbane River and CBD. The project also includes construction of four new high-capacity underground stations at Boggo Road, Woolloongabba, Albert Street, Roma Street and redevelopment of the existing Dutton Park station.

Currently there are multiple opportunities for site experienced Site Engineers to join our organisation working within either Civil, Structural or Tunnel Construction scopes. Reporting to the Project Engineer, in these roles you will be responsible for providing on-site engineering support to assist in the achievements of the required objectives of the project.

You will be responsible for:

  • Monitoring key construction requirements to ensure they are achieved in line with agreed specifications.
  • Managing work conducted on site by subcontractor’ and suppliers.
  • Implementing prompt and safe corrective action on site if required.
  • Maintaining all relevant project document control and records.

Minimum requirements for this role include the following:

  • Recognised degree in Engineering or Construction Management.
  • Demonstrated previous site experience on a construction project
  • Ability to apply engineering principle to comply with scope of works and technical criteria.
