Your New Career

Working in a fast paced environment you will take responsibility for producing strategic technology solutions and architecture for up-coming large ICT programs and opportunities in the Federal Government IT Projects and Intelligence space. The role will require you to work closely with the Business Development, IT Services and IT Projects business line teams in conjunction with key customer stakeholders at a variety of levels to understand their requirements and architect the required solution from a technology, cost and support perspective.

This role would suit a candidate with a solid technical background and looking to move their career into a strategic role that will involve you in some of the biggest ICT programs in the country. There will be ample opportunity to further advance your career and knowledge of the technology landscape across the business.


About you and what you'll bring

Coupled with your education and practical experience, you will demonstrate a pro-active approach with the ability to understand the business, identify issues and develop relationships to achieve the company's objectives. You will also have:

  • Extensive professional experience working in a senior role within an engineering or project environment (preferably in a similar industry);
  • Extensive experience in authoring proposals based on identified win themes, complex solutions, delivery approaches, operating models and technology road maps for both technical and executive level stakeholders based on high level requirements;
  • The ability to estimate and cost up both the delivery and on-going support large complex solutions in an enterprise scale ICT environment;
  • Experience in assisting customers with scope development based on your technical expertise, industry best practice and alignment to strategy;
  • Ability to present and convey your proposed solution in-person to multiple key stakeholders providing logical rationale and technical justification;
  • Professional experience in project contract management with demonstrable record of success and achievements;
  • Excellent knowledge and application of a broad range of skills including software, systems and enterprise architecture, software and hardware engineering, current and emerging technologies;
  • Excellent problem solving skills with proven ability to resolve complex technical problems and provide innovative and ingenious solutions;
  • Ability to apply advanced technical principles, techniques, theories and concepts;
  • Highly exceptional team communication and interpersonal skills, as well as strong stakeholder management skills.
Technical experience:
  • Architecture, governance and delivery of solutions across Private, Public, Hybrid and Distributed Cloud environments including Azure and AWS
  • Experience in designing and deploying strategic End User Compute solutions in a large scale organisation including Virtual Desktop Infrastructure and Office 365 deployment
  • Experience with microarchitectures and containerisation runtime platforms both on premise and in cloud - leveraging Docker and Kubernetes
  • Knowledge of DevSecOps and agile practices and how these are supported by Infrastructure as Code, Continuous Integration and Continuous Deployment pipelines and application release across lifecycle environments
  • Understanding of the Cyber Security landscape and accreditation of solutions in a high classified, secure environment
  • Understanding of IT Service Management and IT Operations Management platforms and how these integrate with large ICT ecosystems process, people and technology
  • Understanding of managed services contracts and design of solutions that include pricing models and operating models for on-going sustainment
  • Datacentre Infrastructure platform design experience including virtualisation, software defined networking, storage, compute, data protection and business continuity requirements
