About Drawboard

Drawboard’s vision is to make the paperless office happen, starting with the architecture, engineering, and construction industries. We’re still in the early days of accelerating the world’s transition from paper to digital and are on the hunt for talented team members to help us achieve our vision.

We exist because we are passionate about creating innovative and easy-to-use digital markup software to eliminate both physical and digital waste for our users across the globe.

Drawboard’s first PDF markup application (Drawboard PDF) is the #1 productivity app on the Microsoft Store and was preinstalled on Microsoft Surface for two years (millions of devices!). We’re now building out Drawboard’s document design collaboration platform that is already embraced by architecture and engineering teams worldwide - think InVision for architects.

The Role

Drawboard is looking for a Quality Engineer who is passionate about delivering software that our customers value. Your work will be vital to our success.

We believe that we can build a thriving development culture and deliver value effectively to our customers when everyone is responsible for quality. At Drawboard, all product team members participate in the verification effort whereas you, the Quality Engineer, will focus on exploratory testing.

We want to empower the Quality Engineer to be part of the delivery cycle early. So in this role, you will also work closely with the Product Managers and Engineers and assist them with writing user stories and acceptance criteria for new features to help identify any risk or potential problems in the new features being developed.

We require candidates to have full working rights in Australia for consideration.

  • Be a critical part of the delivery process, where you will collaborate with product and engineering teams to ensure features we build can be tested
  • Coordinate and conduct exploratory testing of features across multiple platforms and devices
  • Raise bugs and uphold the escalation process to a high standard of quality
  • Report metrics on test results and bug counts
  • Maintain quality documentation of product knowledge and the delivery processes
  • Where appropriate, make recommendations to the product features

Required skills

  • Strong communication
  • Ability to work in a team independently
  • A problem solver with attention to detail
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and keep on top of the chaos
  • Demonstrated ability to create a safe and positive working environment
  • Has an understanding of a typical software development lifecycle
  • Growth and continuous improvement mindset
