JOB DESCRIPTION

Role

We are looking for an automotive machinist to complete our Diesel Engine Reconditioning Team. An interest (experience), in machining and reconditioning all parts affiliated with Diesel engines

Qualifications

  • Full Australian Working Rights
  • Engine reconditioning

Permanent Contract available description.

  • Varity of Machine Operations within Diesel Reconditioning Workshop
  • Operating Overhead Crane
  • Ad-hoc Forklift operation

Selection Criteria

  • Previous experience within mechanical field desirable
  • Strong Machine Operation background a plus
  • Excellent safety knowledge

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Machine Operator
  • Parts Cleaning
  • Operating Overhead Crane
  • Ad-hoc Forklift operation
  • Undertake Quality Control checks
  • Basic Repairs & Maintenance of products
  • General Housekeeping Duties
  • Undertake training and other duties as required.
  • Follow work health and safety policies and procedures.



Experience Required for this position

  • A level of proficiency in a range of machining / maintenance activities
  • Trade qualifications are not a pre-requisite, some exposure to Diesel mechanical and engineering (manufacturing) workshops would be an advantage.
  • Be physically fit as some heavy lifting will be required.
  • Ability to work autonomously or as part of a team
