Your new company
We are currently partnered with a leading state department on their search to find a Civil Engineer to join their team immediately for an initial 6 months.

Your new role
Being a key member of the Civil team, your duties and responsibilities will include but not be limited to:

  • Providing technical guidance and advice on technical drawings, designs and documents
  • Contributing ideas and opinions towards Divisional and Branch management expectations and maintain technical competence
  • Providing support on business matters including risk management, performance reporting and policy and procedure development
  • Assisting in maintaining, testing and commission and reviewing third party works
  • Reviewing and developing technical requirements in accordance with legislation and standards
  • Liaising with key stakeholders, both internal and external, including management and contractors

What you'll need to succeed

  • Civil Engineering degree, or equivalent as recognised by Institute of Engineers Australia
  • Proven experience in providing civil expertise in regards to the planning and design of civil assets
  • Substantial experience in applying asset management frameworks
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and leading outcomes of a team
  • Well developed analytical and communication skills

You will also be subject to a pre-employment medical assessment and police clearance. You will also be required to obtain an Individual Access (IA) Track Access Permit.
