The Opportunity

Reporting to the HSE Director, you will be responsible for the effective management of the HSE function at our Huntingwood facility. Your passion for HSE and proven leadership ability will allow you to engage, influence and empower team members from the Site Leadership Teams through to our front line operators. The role will require a strategic mindset to develop and drive onsite initiatives to deliver continual improvement across the areas of Health, Safety and Environmental Risk. 


Ingredients to be successful

  • A strong track record in an operational HSE leadership role with a site-based workforce.
  • Tertiary qualifications in OHS (required); qualifications / training in the fields of Injury Management and/or Environment (advantageous but not essential).
  • Strong capability to influence and work with stakeholders at all levels with a focus on mentoring, coaching and empowering frontline leaders and H&S Representatives to drive HSE improvements.
  • Proven experience in growing and developing positive HSE cultures
  • Strong legislative knowledge and demonstrated experience in the practical application of this legislation.
  • Experience in managing onsite injury management and rehabilitation requirements including a site early intervention and wellness strategy.
  • Experience providing recommendations to operational teams that demonstrate consideration for broader implications and making recommendations which are practical and results-oriented.
  • Project management skills to enable the planning and management of projects to deliver on objectives.
  • Proven ability to work in a team environment as well as the ability to initiate and complete tasks autonomously.
