Job Description


The successful candidate will have a strong service delivery focus, initiative, proven influencing skills in a diverse workforce and the ability to build on the organisation’s safety culture and injury management processes.

Your role will be to assist with the ongoing compliance of WH&S legislation, Australian Standards and organisational policies and procedures. You will coordinate injury management and return to work functions and provide advice to site Managers and staff across the organisation about WH&S related topics. You will be conducting workplace inspections and audits and coordinating WH&S functions including compliance, safe work practices, systems and risk management.

This role is based in our head office in Tweed Heads and covers the mid to far north coast areas and the Gold Coast and will include frequent travel between these locations.

Desired Skills and Experience


Someone to oversee the health, safety and wellbeing of staff within the organisation by providing advice, support and coaching to staff and management on WHS best practice, risk management and case management of injured/ill workers. You will contribute to the development and review of those policies, processes, procedures and initiatives within the organisation that support a healthy and safe workplace and provide quality reporting on various WHS activities.

  • Qualification in a relevant WHS discipline or demonstrated equivalent knowledge and experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing WHS policies and procedures
  • Sound experience in the interpretation of WHS legislation and its implementation across WHS management systems to ensure organisational compliance
  • Experience in the development and delivery of WHS related education and training
  • Well-developed analytical skills and the ability to develop practical solutions
  • Effective communication and facilitation skills
  • Excellent computer literacy skills including Microsoft suite of programs
  • Demonstrated commitment to working within the Momentum Collective Workplace Values
