Central Australian College (CAC) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO) that meets federal and state educational standards and functions with the objective of providing a skilled workforce to the growing Australian job market.

About the role

CAC is seeking a Computer Network and System Engineer for the whole organization, the purpose of your role is to ensure the overall Computer network including the windows server, firewalls, switches and other devices within the College. The successful applicant would be expected to have in-depth knowledge, bachelor degree or higher qualification and experience in Computer Networking and System Engineering who will be responsible for designing, implementing, optimizing and maintaining the server with following duties and responsibilities.

Your key responsibilities will be to:

Analyzing, developing, interpreting and evaluating complex system design and architecture specifications, data models and diagrams in the development, configuration, and integration of computer systems

Managing Windows server, Active Directory and the Fileserver, Firewalls, Switches, Access Points, VMware ESXI, and other networking devices. 

Researching, analyzing, evaluating and monitoring network infrastructure to ensure networks are configured to operate at optimal performance

Assessing and recommending improvements to network operations and integrated hardware, software, communications, and operating systems

Providing specialist skills in supporting and troubleshooting network problems and emergencies

Installing, configuring, testing, maintaining and administering new and upgraded network devices, software database applications, Windows Servers and workstations

Providing network programming in support of specific business needs and requirements

Preparing and maintaining procedures and documentation for network inventory, and recording the diagnosis and resolution of network faults, enhancements, and modifications to networks, and maintenance instructions

Monitoring network traffic, and activity, capacity, and usage to ensure the continued integrity and optimal network performance
