JOB DESCRIPTION

During the Engineering Production traineeship, you will be working full time 38 hours per week while studying a Certificate II in Engineering Production.

(Important – if you have completed a Certificate III or higher since leaving school you may not be eligible for this traineeship)

You would be gaining experience in the workplace with one of our host employers.

Trainees will primarily be engaged in production work, including the set up and operation of:

  • automatic, semi-automatic, single purpose and computer numeric (CNC) machines
  • production lathes, welding processes and major manufacturing production lines
  • monitoring, servicing, repairing and assembly of mechanical, fabrication, electrical and metal product machines.

Applicants will ideally meet the following criteria:

  • Be eligible to complete a traineeship
  • Be well presented, enthusiastic, reliable and punctual
  • Be motivated with a positive attitude
