Our Client is looking for 2 (junior) Cloud Engineers with experience in AWS and Linux environments to join their growing Cloud Infrastructure & DevOps team. The Role
These two mid-level roles, reporting to the Cloud & Infrastructure Manager, will carry the responsibility of ensuring the availability, stability and security of the cloud infrastructure and associated operations. Moreover, the cloud engineer will be responsible for the ongoing administration of the existing AWS environment, while contributing to automation initiatives and cost optimizations.

Key Responsibilities include:

• Administration, monitoring, and managing of the existing AWS environment.
• Build, deploy, and maintain Linux & windows servers.
• Respond to operational issues, while optimizing the existing Cloud services.
• Support the Project teams in deployment activities, platform upgrades, and cost optimalisation.
• Ongoing system maintenance and updates to the CI/CD pipeline.
• Provide high-level support to development teams and users.

Your Profile

The ideal candidate will need to have experience across AWS and Linux, having worked in a Systems Administrator or (junior) Cloud engineer position before, while showing a clear passion for new technologies.

In addition, you will ideally be able to demonstrate:

• 2+ years' experience supporting and/or optimizing of AWS cloud infrastructure.
• Strong Linux operation and support experience.
• Good working knowledge of some of the following AWS Services: Amazon EC2, RDS, VPC, IAM, SSM, Route53, CloudWatch, S3, Lambda, SQS and SNS.
• Working knowledge of DevOps/CICD - Git, CloudFormation, Ansible, and Jenkins.
• Understanding of core Infrastructure technologies (AD, O365, exchange, SAN Storage, etc.).
• Knowledge of scripting languages (Bash, shell, Python).
• Infrastructure-as-Code experience a plus
• Exposure to Web Services & API integrations using REST, HTTP a plus.
