The role
We are currently seeking a Senior Traffic Engineer to work closely with our other specialists in the Transport group. This opportunity is a permanent role based out of our Perth office.
With a minimum of 6+ years’ experience in Traffic Engineering, you will play a key role in:
- Ensuring that analysis and design tasks undertaken meet appropriate technical standards and the requirements of the client and SMEC
- Collaborating with appropriate team members, contributors and stakeholders to maintain quality, timeliness and co-ordination of project deliverables
- Contributing to the commercial success of projects and the team
- Applying project management principles in carrying out assigned tasks and accomplish project deliverables to the required standard and in a timely manner
With a track record of achievement in a similar role, you will have gained your experience in an engineering design consultancy and have a passion for building trusted relationships to drive positive change and win new work.
Suitable applicants will have/be:
- Experience in preparing Traffic assessment reports.
- A strong understanding of traffic performance measures at intersections and along sections of roads.
- An awareness of the suitability and limitations of different modelling software packages.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to work effectively within a diverse and multi-disciplinary environment
