WBHO Infrastructure is the Australian business of one of South Africa's largest contractors. WBHO is undergoing significant expansion, and is currently involved in exciting projects across Australia, including project delivery and pre-contracts activity across multiple states.

We are looking for

A Site Engineer for the Bruce Highway Project near Bowen, QLD. You will have recently completed your Bachelor of Engineering (Civil) within the last 2 years preferably have previous experience in the civil Construction industry with a keen interest in Road construction and infrastructure.

As our ideal candidate, you will have intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills as well as the ability to quickly adapt to new systems. You must be a proactive team player with strong written and verbal communication skills in order to build solid working relationships with your colleagues and stakeholders. It will be expected that you actively adhere to and promote WBHO’s core values including meeting HSEQ standards at all times.

The successful candidate must have a drivers licence and live local to the area.

Key Tasks may include:

• Assist in the delivery of the project on time and within budget
• Monitor project materials
• Cost control activities
• Assist with variations
• Adhere to OHSE & QA specifications
• Organise plant and personnel
• Assist with reporting; cost reconciliation, safety, quality compliance
• Contracts Administration

Requirements

• 1-2 years' experience working on heavy infrastructure projects with demonstrated experience on metro road projects 
• Hold a relevant Engineering Degree
• Ability to grow and maintain strong relationships through excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Outstanding organisation and time management skills
• Strong grasp of cost reporting
