Construction Manager

Our client, a major construction company is looking to hire a Construction Manager to join their team in Perth. The company is looking to add to its high calibre workforce to safely and efficiently deliver rail systems.

You will be required to

• Oversee the overall on-site construction delivery on schedule and expectations met,
• Provide leadership responsibility in health, safety, environment and risk management including identify and mitigate risks prior to works commencing, engage with stakeholders to control risk and build a risk management culture,
• Build strong internal and external stakeholder management through positive, proactive and professional communication,
• Manage industrial relation implications and develop appropriate resolution, also manage administrative duties for direct and indirect report requirements,
• Ensure compliance in commercial and financial management including meeting budgets and identifying cost saving measures, also utilise project planning to plan work, monitor implementation to achieve outcomes of project life,
• Review progress against plans, contractual arrangements and delivery to ensure they are on schedule and within quality and cost estimate.
• Review design documentation, read drawings, provide constructive review and oversee implementation of final designs, also attend project review meetings with team and client,
• Ensuring quality of installation is performed in compliance with the requirements of the relevant specifications, also taking responsibility of preparation of tenders,
• Contribute to, seek and implement continuous improvement opportunities and perform all duties in accordance to company policies and procedures,

• This is a FIFO role, operating on a 2/1 roster.

The successful candidate will have

• Qualification in Trade or Technical/Leadership,
• Minimum 8 years’ experience overseeing construction, installation and commissioning of rail signalling systems.
• Performance management of subcontractors, suppliers, direct labour,
• Skill in review of design documentation, ability to understand drawings, provide constructability review and implement final design plans.
• Safety, environment and resource management, construction program and methodology.
